POKHARA: Every year, thousands of young Nepalese men endure grueling physical training, punishing try-outs and relentless scrutiny for what they see as a chance of a lifetime – the opportunity to become a Gurkha soldier in the British Army.
For boys from remote villages, it can be a pathway out of poverty – not just for them, but for their entire families.
But out of more than 12,000 candidates, only 432 will make it.
We follow Nepal's latest hopeful recruits as they battle it out to see who has what it takes to join the legendary Gurkhas.
